The module introduces learners to the theoretical backgrounds framing the psychosocial care for people with dementia.
The module drives learners to consider people living with dementia as individuals capable to exert functional resources as well as capable to express themselves and their needs.
The working approach would enable learners to provide support according to the most innovative and sound evidence.
Specifically, the module will regard the following themes:
- a) A critical overview of the theoretical aspects concerning the quality of life of people living with dementia;
- b) Assessment and understanding of individual capabilities, needs and resources;
- c) Analysis of available interventions.
